Our Clinicians work in a partnership and as a group. Although you are registered with a named Clinician, you may see any of the Clinicians in the partnership.
Dr Jennifer H Redferne (Female) MBBS FRCGP DRCOG
Dr Redferne qualified from St Mary’s in London in 1988 and works six sessions a week in the Practice as a three quarter time partner. She has an active interest in Postgraduate Education and is the GP Trainer for the Practice. Other speciality interest include Gynaecology and Family Planning. Dr Redferne has 3 adorable daughters, an equal number of ‘large’ dogs and enjoys living in the country and being outdoors.Dr Alison Whitehouse (Female) MBBS MRCGP MRCP MBChB
Dr Whtehouse completed her specialist GP training with the Gresleydale Practice and we were delighted to welcome her back as a GP Partner, in February 2014. Dr Whitehouse is married with two young children.
Dr M Kulkarni (Female) MBBS DRCOG MRCGP DFFP
Dr Kulkarni joined us as a Partner in January 2016. She qualified in 1988 and completed her GP training from Eastern Deanery, Cambridgeshire in 2003. She has a special interest in women’s health and contraception and undertook further training in this area. She is a GP trainer and undertakes supervision of trainee doctors at the surgery. She enjoys cooking in her free time.Dr Celia Low (Female) MBBS MRCGP
Dr Low did her medical training at the Royal Free Hospital in London and competed her GP training in Cambridge. She has been working as a GP since 2005 and relocated to Derbyshire in 2016 which is when she became part of our team. Dr Low joined the Gresleydale Partnership in April 2020. She enjoys teaching and is a clinical supervisor for the GP trainees.-
Mrs Sue Clover (Female) BSc Hons PGDip NP RGN QN
Mrs Clover qualified as a nurse in 1987, having complteted her training in the Queen Alexandra Royal Nursing Corps. She has undertaken further post graduate training to qualify as a Nurse Practitioner and now works within the practice alongside the GPs. In her spare time, in addition to family life, Mrs Clover supports military charities, enjoys travel and watches rugby- in particularly Worcester Warriors.
General Practitioners
Dr Yanos Reynolds-Khan (Male) MBBS MRCGP
Dr Reynolds-Khan joined the Gresleydale team on 1st March 2019 post qualification. Dr Reynolds-Khan has recently re-located to the area.
Dr Laura Welch (Female) DRCOG MBChB MRCGP
Dr Laura Welch joined the Gresleydale team in May 2019 after post qualification.
Dr Eleanor Mair (Female) BSc BMBS MRCGP
Dr Eleanor Mair joined the practice in January 2020 post qualification.
GP Registrars
As a result of being a Training Practice, it is normal for us to have up to 3 GP Registrars in training at anyone time. Registrars are fully qualified doctors training to become GPs.
F2 Doctors
F2’s are Doctors that have completed medical school and they are foundation doctors that are still choosing the area that they want to specialise in. We usually have one on rotation for four months. They are always supervised by a senior member of the clinical team.

Clinical Pharmacist
Razia Hussein Ismail
Mrs Ismail provides medicines management activities to support safe, effective prescribing. Mrs Ismail ensures medication changes from clinical correspondence or review are actioned in a timely manner.
She supports the management team and clinicians to develop and complete internal review processes e.g. Audit and Quality Assurance based. She also reviews patients with Long Term Conditions and provides a minor ailments triage clinic alongside our nursing staff to address medication queries without recourse to the GPs.
Practice Pharmacy Technician
Alex Coupar-Evans
Alex undertakes a new role for the practice working under the supervision of our Clinical Pharmacist. He ensures medication is prescribed in a safe, accurate and cost-effective manner plus provides support to patients, GPs, Nurse and other members of the practice team with medication queries.
Nurse Practitioners
Please book with our Nurse Practitioners if you have an acute problem or if you have an existing problem that has significantly worsened in a short space of time both of which cannot wait until the next available routine appointment.

Carol Jenkinson
Carol is a practice nurse with surgery, having previously worked as one of our Community Nurses. She has special interests in COPD and Elderly Health and helps with various chronic disease & Travel Health Clinics.
Trainee Nursing Associate (Apprenticeship)
Miss Colleen Thompson
Colleen Thompson, who was until recently our Healthcare Practitioner, will be taking on a new developmental role in which she will be progress through the Nursing Associate Training programme. Once qualified, she will be an accredited Nursing Associate.
Healthcare Assistants
Our Healthcare Assistant works alongside the Nursing Team. They are trained to carry out procedures as Blood tests, ECGs, BP checks, ear syringing, wound care, B12 and influenza injections, NHS health checks, spirometry, suture removal and assisting the GPs and other members of the nurse team with procedures (contraception or minor operations).
