24 Hour Mental Health Support Line

The previous number will remain operational for a while, but please start to promote the new number from today, so that there are no costs for those calling for support. Feedback from users of the support line has been very positive. 90% of callers who responded to a survey said they were ‘likely’ or ‘very likely’ to recommend the service to others. Comments included:
  • *I didn’t know what to expect as the doctor just gave me the number to ring, but the young lady who answered my call was very understanding and put me at ease. I have never been able to talk about my anxieties as I was brought up to believe it is a weakness, so it was nice to know I was not alone and there is somewhere to contact.”
  • “Very understanding and coping strategies discussed, I did not feel rushed and was given time to talk about my problems. I felt understood and supported.”
  • “Staff are extremely supportive and understanding, willing to talk, give advice and help out without judgement of the situation.”
